Some old pics here.

Good solid build, much more polished than the UK models seem to be, eg a power switch behind the door, hinged panel above CP etc. Monitors are a bit temperamental when it comes to refresh rates and they can exhibit a yellow hue in areas. If you get one straight from Japan, chances are that cigarette smoke residue has built up behind the monitor assembly front-glass and it's a nuisance of a disassembly job to clean it up.

As of last year, parts were harder to obtain from Sega, and taking a couple of month on average.

I recently shifted mine back to Aus and it's sitting in storage, no idea if it survived but will find out in a month or so. Happy to take pics of whatever you fancy at the time.

Best thing about the cabinet is the sound and the size of the control panel.

Bad is the monitor, it's crap, only fills the screen when 1360x768, so it measn some games have black bars left and right, the monitor is also prone to flaking out, it also has a horrible plastic frensel, which is prone to making the screen picture look even worse due to smoke damage.

LCDs look crap for games IMO, unless they have a glass front.

Lot of money for a stick cab too, not many decent high res games is there??

The guy from the game-trader shop in Furth, Germany (held) has also a Lindbergh Cab. I don't know, if it's a Japanese one or not?! On his facebook page (game-trader) you can see the pics.

Lindbergh is quite nice and I would prefer it to a Vewlix (too many SF4 hype boys), but somehow the Lindbergh reminds of the robot in the movie Short Circuit... :awe:

I hear they have better audio and I prefer SEGA build quality but they're not pretty are they. Couldn't imagine it fitting in as well as the Vewlix. I think the F monitor is pretty good for its age too.

i think they look pretty nice , but like all a matter of taste.

yes , the Fs screen is great , no doubt, it matches the quality of the much newer L screen (jp build/ never seen the china screen)while having alot more adjustment options.

@nvs

do you have any dead pixel on the screen ?

My vewlix is tated.... waiting for Mushi-HD :)

Monitor was very crap on my Lindbergh...
I don`t like the "silver" parts of the lind cab... but i loved the body  (lower than vewlix)... but also the "NO rotation screen" kills it for me. There are a few XBOX Games i play on vertical screen.

There was a time nobody liked Naomi Cabs (vs Egrets), because of there "Television-look".... and nowadays...
Lind cabs are the same, Vewlix ones look more like a cab?!

No talking about the Japanese cab
FYI, Eu and Japanese cabs share the same monitors, same silver metal parts, same plastics, same speakers, same electronic components obviously.

The UK ones have metal work built here to cut the costs of importing the metal work, just like the Naomi cabinets (although once again the silver parts are the same, although not varnished metal - they powder coat them as Europe arcades do not look after cabinets).

I am told the Namco Noir cabs, like used on Tekken Tag 2 are nicer cabs - but they are all the same to me, LCD units on a metal box.. they just don't look arcade like.
