I'm such a pussy!

I managed the score trick in the L2 boss, then messed up big time :(

L1: 1.6m
L2: 4.2m
L3: 5.1m
L4: 6.6m, had 2 in stock but rank was at 3!! With 0 in stock it was at 7.

This game is so unforgiving when it comes to rank. You can't fly about on L4 with 2 lives in stick :(

Balls! Such a good run, but I've never played L6, so died pretty quick, really thought I could get an A score there

Excellent score Mark!

You do know that you can practise levels? ;)

Surely the 1CC can't be too far off.

I've been practicing L4, time to move on the 5 & 6.

Level 5 is really easy if you have max medals and 2 bombs, you get 2 extends at the mid point.

It's the game itself that's difficult. You nee to fly around with 0 or 1 in stock a lot of the time so an accidental death is disastrous.

I think that's why MMP is so easy, having 2 in stock isnt that bad on rank

Wow mate. Awesome score!

Starting to realise what you mean about stock levels. I got an extra life yesterday and the rank went bonkers before my eyes.

Right, I'm back playing this. My wife is back at school (this is not an awesome movie in the making) so I have some spare time at night.

1st credit since 01/07 at cools meet, died just before the lv5 boss with 2 bombs spare :palm:

I'm 1cc'n this bitch before Christmas.

My highest is 3.5mil - bond type a - lvl 2. Ive only got a flick of a 3.2 score need to see if chappy has reset his board. Only played it for a day just starting to get the hang of the rank affecting play. the boss patterns on 2 kept on reducing me i think the furthest i got was the 3rd form, never seen level 3.

The pcb is glorious 8-) .

I had doubts about getting it because the ps2 game always left a bad taste in my mouth. Even with the interlacing patch, the game would just constantly grate on me because of the visuals. Ibara is a visually busy game and the pastel bullets and backgrounds are going to mess with you anyway, but I always felt like I was flying blind on the port. I'd play a credit or two and then get frustrated. It sucked because I really like Garegga, and Ibara was the cave game I was most excited for on ps2, but I could never get on with it.

Without all that vasoline smudged on it, the game is beautiful though. I'm finally getting the hang of medaling.

I keep a tray of quarters on my cp, and i've never had to actually open up the coin box while playing a game because I ran out before. Until Ibara. :)

PJG - 4,811,850 - Stage 4 -Bond (Type C)

Still haven't worked out if I like Bond or Dyne better, but I think I've settled on type c for both. This run ended after I was on the stage 4 boss for what seemed like forever. I got cocky with whatever pattern he was on and went to point blank him between volleys and he surprised me with that flame thrower attack.

Nice :thumbupright:

The Lv4 boss has the most HP in the game. It always takes forever unless (don't do it) you hadow him twice. You need a piercing weapon for this boss, take out the propellors at on the Left & Right wings, this means you can survive the charge.

If the flames are red, stay still. If they are blue (when the boss is close to death) then continually tap / move slowly to the edge of the screen then up.

He's one of the easier bosses if your rank isn't through the roof.
