Re: DoDonpachi (International) PCB
DDP Japanese is identical to export, other than language.

Re: DoDonpachi (International) PCB
yep, no reason to split the DDP's up.
16,746,320 - Bort(RHS) - C-S - 1-5 - 155
Normal with auto fire on a JPN board.

I was aiming to reach 25 mil before the end of the year but DP(HK) consumed most of early december for me.

Here is my pathetic DDP score. I’ve only played one credit in the last 3-6 months, so it’s more of a benchmark

Slowly but surely I’m getting there. I wouldn’t bother editing the score board until I beat someone

Re: DoDonpachi PCB
You all take the Blue ship in Shot mode then?
I tried it the other day & it seemed really underpowered when you use the lazer. I guess it’s a lot easier to clear the screen though.
I might give it a go tonight

Re: DoDonpachi PCB
it takes longer to beat bosses but is much better for clearing the screen.. i also find it easier to chain with than the other choices..
if you can actually stay alive through stage 5 without bombing with c-s you can easy get 2
250-400+ chains without really paying attention to anything but dodging bullets.. and if you try you can join them 2 chains up.. it's a pretty important level for scoring but easy to mess up..same goes for the 6th level but you have to put a bit more thought in your chaining.
if you can no miss/no bomb up to level 4 your score will already be quite high (usually about 10-16 million depending on your chaining) and you can afford to let off a bomb on 4 cos theres a couple to get the bomb multiplier going again..

Re: DoDonpachi PCB
I’m at this horrible stage where I’m able to play pretty well, but can’t nail the hit box. It feels too far back imo. I guess I just need to get used to it. I’m letting things hit me on boss fights because of it
I’m really enjoying playing this again. I just need an LS32 in the Egret & get use to the hitbox & I’m positive I’ll be better at this. The Sanwa’s are far too loose for DDP.
Just now I can chain some of L1, L2 but that’s it. 183 on L1 is my best & similar on L2

Re: DoDonpachi PCB
hah i neve get a good grip on my hitbox ..im better with it on ddp than esperade tho
187 is about as good as you can get on level 1 .. the hard bit on 2 is chaining through the tank and then keeping it going till the buildings at the end... when the tank changes form destroy the buildings to the left with your lazer then lazer the tank till it dies trying not to destroy the helicopters coming in and the buildings on the right.. then when it blows up hit the stuff on the right then cross over to the left with the lazer hitting all the popcorn enemies on the way to the big buildings on the left .if you get the timing right you can chain till the end easy from there with the shot!

I can get 140 after the tank, so that’s easy.charlie chong wrote:hah i neve get a good grip on my hitbox ..im better with it on ddp than esperade tho

Re: DoDonpachi PCB
Just popped DDP back in my EII for the first time this year.
Lots of really bad runs but I just almost equalled my previous best (100k less) and for the first time I got to 1-6 on one credit.
My technique has really improved since I've last played, I just need to relearn everything. Holding long on the cancelling is really saving my **** at the moment.

Re: DoDonpachi PCB
1-3. In the middle there are the medium sized green ships (Before the Huge red one) that have lots of small green ships around them that fire pink triangles. Shoot the big ones till they are about to blown then stop firing. Once the screen is filled with pink arrows blow the big ship up and the pink triangle bullets are cancelled and the small ships are easy prey. Cancelling those bullets greatly increases your score (3-6 million) depending on how long you leave it.kernow wrote:

I've been having days like that recently (other shmups). I wasn't even clocking tetris DS marathon mode every time.kernow wrote:I can't break 12million at the moment
