TypeX2 JVS card problem

Post by Ringtail »

Hey guys, plugged the X2 back into the Naomi Uni cabinet I have here and for some strange reason the jvs link isn't working. Battle Fantasia won't boot up and KOFMIA boots but does not resond to test button or controls.

The Taito I/O(RoHS) card has two lights, the top one remains solid green and the lower one is orange and constantly pulsing which would indicate the card is working. I plugged my Naomi 2 board with MvC2 into the same setup and all controls respond as they should so i'm fairly certain that the wiring and the sega I/O i'm using in the cabinet are fine. I've also removed the card from the mobo and checked all three wiring looms and they seems fine.

Dip Switch Settings 1ON 2OFF 3OFF 4OFF 5ON

I think it may be a fried port on the card but honestly not to sure. Any input would be appreciated and if anyone has a spare for sale please let me know. :)

My hand after beating the motherboard senseless out of frustration :)

Seriously tho discovered a bent pin on the motherboard after dissassembling the entire thing and doing a thorough search. So simple yet so bloody annoying. :P
