Need help with Naomi

Post by Moonwalker »

Hi everyone,

I need help with my Naomi MoBo. I bought it from Japan a long time ago and it unfortunately doesn´t work. I sent it to Jörg from Austria to put a Multibios in and to repair it, but he couldn´t make it work. As far as I understand he did not put a lot of effort into the repair though.

is there anybody here who can repair it?

Have a nice weekend

Is it worth the trouble though? Naomis are still very cheap.

You may be right, but if possible I would like to save the hardware.

It's still worth something as parts (filter board and case). You could get a smelly, yellow one from China and swap the main boards.

If you really want that one repaired and don’t mind posting to the US (or if you already there even better) you could contact Ken at irepairsega. If he can’t repair it I doubt anyone can. As others have said though it will likely be cheaper to just get another that works and sell a few of the bits from your broken one. Naomis are still quite cheap.

Thanks, both of you. Shipping to the States would cost too much.
I should look for another one.
