Asking for a friend, who's eyeing this silver Lindbergh unit on Yahoo JP:
(Googled pic, not from actual auction)
He owns a Blast City cab with the Capcom JVS I/O, and was wondering what other pieces of the puzzle is missing in order to play some Virtua Fighter 5 there.
By my count he will need:
1) DVD-drive
2) Game (duh) with the security chip
I'm not sure whether an adapter is needed for power, does Lindbergh use JVS standard 3.3v?
Anything else? I'm also not sure if the silver version is for running games, or is it just a VF Terminal for account registration etc.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Re: Running Sega Lindbergh on a Blast City
You will need a Lindbergh power supply. Not sure if an adapter cable exists to go from Blast city PSU to linberg type cable? If you look at the photo, its the 2x white connectors you need to plug into to power up the machine. I havent had one to look at one up close, but it looks like the connector from an ATX power supply? if you open the Lindbergh up the connector on the outside of the unit is just an extension to the motherboard inside

You can use an ATX power supply with one of the white connectors. I'm doing the same for one of my Lindbergh Yellow.

Should work yes. The silver Server version is the same as the Yellow except it has the card reader and the graphics card is the Nvidia 7800GS (which will run everything).

Re: Running Sega Lindbergh on a Blast City
Thanks for all the input folks! Looks like the power part is settled.
Also good thing to know Silver contains the actual motherboard as well.
Looks like the question now would be whether games require an internet connection in order to run, for a game like VF5 Final Showdown which does have online rankings and such, will the software run even if internet access check is fail?
Thanks again. Cheers.
