So today I received a Type X2. I plugged it through VGA to my computer monitor and can't get any image. Any Idea why this can be? Dipswitches are all ON except 3 and 4.
Also, it is really loud, CPS2 or higher. Is this normal?

Re: Type X2 No image
Have you plugged the VGA lead in to one of the DVI sockets with a DVI > VGA adapter?
Yes, they're louder than CPS2. It's ok as long as it's in a cab.

That's why you're not getting an image. You need to plug video in to one of the DVI sockets.
Also, if you've just plugged it in to a monitor to test it and there's no JVS I/O plugged in (USB socket labelled JAMMA), then you'll get a JVS error when it boots up.

Damn! Thanks Crunchywasp, btw the IO board has j1, j2, p1 and p2 connections. J1 is the typical JVS squared usb, what are the others for?

Re: Type X2 No image
No probs
Looking at my I/O when it's plugged in to my Vewlix, J1 goes to the X2, it looks as though P1 goes to test/service/amp pcb, and P2 and J2 have nothing plugged in to them. I don't know what those 2 are for. J2 might be for a card reader or something. The harness that plugs in to socket G runs to the controls and also back in to the cab, to the coin mech I think.

Thanks! Lets see if I can find myself on of those test PCBs.
