I have a ddr supernova with a message in japanese,it's not the normal hard drive missing message and i can step past it with a controller

Connect your HDD to a PC and image it. Also if you can run a SMART diagnosis.
The image will only work on that particular hard drive (due to DNAS DRM) but it allows you to restore it if it happen to corrupt.
