Naomi firmware update failure

Post by JackieHarris »

Tried to update my Netdimm firmware from 3.03 to 4.01, but I've run into a problem.

First I went to the test menu to test the dimm. Results came back fine, no problems. Then I sent the firmware update to the dimm (no obvious issues), and I got the blue screen inviting me to press 'next' to update. When I did that, it began the process then immediately failed & showed the following:

So now I'm stuck in a loop: whenever I start the Naomi it goes straight to the firmware update screen, process fails, I have to reboot, then the same thing happens again. I've tried re-sending the firmware update but that doesn't seem to work anymore (transfer report is gibberish text, so I can't give more precise details).

Can anyone tell me how to get round this? I've tried Googling but can't find anything. Is there a way to get the Naomi to reject the update, so I can try re-sending it from scratch? I wonder if it somehow got garbled enroute and this is the cause of the issue. Any help would be appreciated, I'm completely stuck! Thanks.

Thanks so much, that worked!

As for 0key pic: yes, got one, believe it's okay. Cheers.
