Have you tried to open your cart and give the contacts a good clean? you could also clean the cart slot using rubbing alcohol and a credit card, the image in the picture is what you get when theres no cart inserted or when is suicided.

Have you tried re-seating/swapping the simm positions?

I can't remember how to use the multi exactly, do you press and hold start when it's turned on to select the game you want? Might be worth swapping the simms and loading it fresh?

Hope you get it sorted easily!

It should boot without the simms. boot to a error message.

The cartridge happens to be the CPU so if there's anything wrong with it you won't get any video besides those dot patterns, which are due to the video chip not being initialized (due to the CPU not working).

i have cleaned both card and mb connector, i have reshuffled the sims, nothing seems to have any effect.

i remeasured the voltage on the pcb side, it is 5.03V and 11.96V, should be perfectly fine.

i have checked the card for loose cable, but it looks all good.

the only thing that i have noticed is that if i start it without cd-rom connected i get different patterns.

no idea what else to do. :problem:

guess it is time to return it :(

Swap SIMM 1 & SIMM 2 over and then boot from the CD. If it doesn't rewrite the game the cart may be duff.

Clean the flux on the TSOP solder pads, check for shorts.

Then clean the SOP FLASH, maybe re-solder it as it doesn't look very well soldered.

If it can't read the BIOS it won't be able to boot. :awe:
