Psychic Force 2012 - Reset Problem

Post by mastercello »

I got ahold of a Taito Psychic Force 2012 pcb (Taito Wolf System) and i'm struggeling to get it working.
It boots up (but with an error beep sound - 1 long and 3 short beeps), and freezes then sometimes a few seconds later.
Sometimes it works for 30s or 1minute, and also you can start a game sometimes.

Voltages over the Jamma are more or less fine (4.9V and 11.8V).

I found a PDF with the manual (in Japanese) and there is something written regarding the extra PSU connector it has right near the JAMMA connector (see below).

Now the questions:
- Is it nessecary to power over this plug?
- If yes, what voltage is needed (5V or 12V) and how much current?
- What exactly is written on the attached part of the manual (see below)?

Any owner or somebody who know on here, who could help me clearing things?

Cheers boys and girls! :awe:

Any other pages? OCR translation seems to suggest that's something to do with audio.

That would make sense also, because sound is not working very well.

Here is the complete manual, there are some other pages speaking about this power plug.

@redknight - i hope so too :awe:

Anyone who owns it maybe?

Is it just needed for sound, 12V then?
Or am I missing anything else here?

Cheers...

It seems that this Taito Wolf System is really picky with voltage, you have to really measure and adjust 5.0V if not it will not boot or freeze!
Extra PSU not necessary! :awe:

Hi everyone, i know this thread is like 2 years old but the only thing i could find regarding the board on the whole net.

Recently i also purchased the here mentioned board, but i cant get beyond the test screen. Is there a certain input needed or does it skip by itself? The manual reads as if it should go within 20 seconds after booting.

It's hooked to my supergun and runs at precisely 5V. Pic: https://ibb.co/fHmPMw

Hope someone can help me out :D

You need also 12V to run it - no special input or adapter needed!
