Ghouls N Ghosts / Dai Makai Mura - A Board Question

Post by Phexe »

Hey guys,

Finally tracked down Original GnG/DMM CPS1 boards. Its the B+C Board, no A Board. At the moment I have, Street Fighter II', Knights of the Round, Strider and Final Fight complete working original CPS1 boards. Will I be able to use one of my existing CPS1 A Boards for GnG/DMM ?

Excuse my lack of knowledge but is this correct;

So if I popped off the B+C of SF2', and put of the B+C of GnG, would that work?

Cheers!

Think there's a tiny bit of speed difference between older cps1 mobo's and later cp1-dash motherboards. Not sure if it matters.

Spec is a bit better on cps-dash mobo's. Probably just removes slowdown. :) Think it's used on games from 1992 onwards. GNG is one of the oldest cps1 games so it probably doesn't matter.

Ah thanks a lot guys. Been looking for a GnG for years, but they're always so expensive. When this popped up cheap for B+C board I jumped on it without thinking about it :/

Isn't it because the first mobo's used a 10mhz crystal and the newer ones used a 12mhz crystal?

Cheers mate!

Kicking myself though, in like 1998 a friends dad was shutting down a few arcade's and had a pile of about 6 GnG's that he was flogging off for like $20 :(
