Hello i have a problem with fixeight i use a supergun and a vga converter on a lcd screen .
here are some pictures.
as you can see i have on the left side some blurring i dont see player 1
the person where i buy the pcb from says it works fine in a cab.
and that the problem is the vga converter with the lcd screen.
i have a lot pcb,s and this is the first with a problem,
so what are you guys thinking is the pcb broke and if so is there someone that can fix it?
someone has a idea.
For my test bench - I have some PCBs that absolutely require a sync cleaner in order to display properly, while others absolutely cannot use the sync cleaner because they won't display with it! So I'd definitely say try it somewhere else. A real arcade monitor is always best when testing.

never had problems before only with this pcb,butt good to now.
and i have the same when i connect the pcb direct on a supergun
3 different ones with out the converter.
yeah i just wanna now if it works with out any problems and then i gonna sell fixeight.
i got no room here for a cab so thats why i play in this setup .

This is really the issue. You have a cheap scaler that doesn't handle non-standard frequencies very well, and then you plug it into an LCD, which also doesn't handle non-standard frequencies very well. Combine that with a board that I guess doesn't use a standard frequency and you have issues.
SCART TV's are everywhere in Europe aren't they? More accurate display, no LCD lag and will most likely eradicate this issue, what's to go wrong
Superguns aren't my particular area of expertise but I'm given to believe that many of them take the RGB signals directly from the pcb and display without conversion.
Someone more enlightened or informed may wish to correct that though.
Absolutely spot on. If your TV supports RGB scart then you can take the video red, green, blue & sync signals directly from the JAMMA edge without using any form of convertor. I usually hook up R,G,B, sync, +5v, mono audio & GND to an 8 pin din socket with a Neo Geo AES pinout so it's compatible with a Neo Geo RGB scart lead, although I usually build my own leads to go with the SG. I run the R,G & B lines via 1k pots for adjustment and audio via an attenuation circuit but other than that everything runs directly from the JAMMA edge to the scart socket/tv
