Thats not the question.
Are the PCBs SF3.3, or are they other CPS3 titles?

no, ok, i'm not talking about boot, but if these are sf3.3 carts or cheap jojo/sf3.1 pcb in a sf3.3 shell (with copied labels )
so are all random. some have wires and some not ? someone other with sf3.3 carts on hands can confirm?
i don't want send them at the repair shop and loose more money (and f**ked up by the shop owner)
thanks coolscools wrote:Thats not the question.

The cart PCB with the 2 wires looks like a first Rev SF3 NG PCB or a JoJo.

thanks you Richard.
need more feedbacks about that, maybe pictures of a sf3.3 pcb with wires. All the 3 working carts i have here are WITHOUT wires.

I think Capcom had moved to a later revision of the cart PCB during manufacture of Jojo's Venture and SF3.1, only the first few batches of carts for those games have the jumper wires. I've seen SF3.1 carts both with wires and without, but as far as I know, all SF3.3 carts should have no wires.Stv wrote:thanks you Richard.

For some reason I have a boxful of CPS-III carts, mobos, simms and cdrom drives so I can open some of the carts up if that'll help you? I'm pretty sure they're all suicided even though most were reading the correct battery voltages. I'm not sure why I kept these - are they worth anything?
Anyway, I'll go find them, then spend 3 hours looking for a security bit (probably) before opening them with my teeth. If I get any which have been hand patched I'll up some pix.
cheers

Capcom Coin-Op did repair them before they where shutdown in 2004. Whether they did this or not on repairs I have no idea.RetroRepair wrote:I didn't think these could be repaired, or am I missing something?

Someday we should organize a collective effort to round up all the dead JP or ASIA CPS-3 carts out there and bulk send them to be serviced by either Capcom Japan or Asia.

Suicide batteries make me want to curb-stomp baby Jesus, or failing that the son of a bitch who came up with the idea would do just fine. The ****.
