Recalhorn (unreleased Taito F3 proto)

Post by Steve »

An obscure unreleased F3 game that seems to have been emulated. Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to play this game on a real F3 by replacing the eproms on a 'donor' game cart?

Yes, but you'd no doubt need to work out jumpers and stuff. Probably way more hassle than it's worth.

Might take you up on that at some point! :)

I have had a few carts open to try and work out how to convert a **** dating sim I have to a Rayforce, but the PCBS inside the carts are drasticaly different in some instances.

I was looking at Undamned's mapping pics:

http://therealundamned.blogspot.com/200 ... b-101.html"

I'll see if I can get an extra mobo and a bunch of carts (don't want my own stuff breaking!).

You can buy stacks of F3 carts on yahoojp for dirt cheap.

Would probably be useful as donor carts.

I'd surely contribute toward purchasing some carts if others were interested in trying to get this done...

Was there any development on this....Recalhorn

I read this thread sometime back after finding a video on youtube (by pure accident)

I'm guessing not....is there anyway we could club together to make it happen?

Nice backgrounds, but looks a little [Euro] Amiga to me.

I'm pretty sure I own one of Retrogamebay convert (I've bought it from another french guy and it have customs stickers just like the one pictured on retrogamebay website). Perfectly working of course, and I must say it's a well-done modification.

But I've heard the guy is extremly busy, and have a waiting list of several months.

There's usually a reason why protos never get released, they suck.

Would like to see Yu Suzuki's PsyFi game, looked interesting (ahead of it's time, but now touch screen is so common place, maybe it will be ported to Ios)

I played it when it was on test in Shinjuku and received a pin button. I thought the gameplay was interesting but most people didn't give it a chance due to the horrible character designs. One of the location test units was sent to the Illinois, USA Sega GameWorks and still remains there I believe.
