Finally Thanks to the Xmas holidays I have the time to study closer the Model 2 hardware,

In the meanwhile I was in Japan I bought also several Model 2 and Model 3 PCB games from MakJapan and g-front to be able to understand better this hardware making some changes between the games' hardware.

As you can see techincal issues are my prefered hobby! hehe :D

Talking about the Model 2 2B 's Hardware:

I was checking the upper baords and every game use the same Eproms (that can be replaced by normal m27c160, 27c4100 and m27c4002 eproms, maybe there can be some exceptions but seems to be in general those that should work fine)

1) each game do not use all the 35 Eproms' sockets on the 2B board

2) Each single game seems to be in just few sockets, for example in Indy 500 the "game itself" is just on the 7th, 8th, 15th, 16th and 31th's socket (check also the Mame Rom).

Basically to change the game you just need to reprogram those 5 Eproms, but what about the other' s eproms? :eh:

are all programmed in the same way?

Anybody had experience in reprogramming these other Model 2 Eproms?

Any help is always appreciated ;)

(..of course the jumpers must be changed, but that's an another issue)

Has anyone put together the different jumpers, info to convert these games?

I have a Model 2B Virtua Striker and want to try out Zero Gunner and Pilot Kids. Does anyone have any info on these?

Cheers

Sorry, no info here but if you manage to get anywhere with Pilot Kids, please let me know. It's the last arcade game I need to complete my Psikyo arcade collection.

Cheers,

Ralph.

I'm sure you'll also need a Security Board as well as the usual jumper/EPROM changing to get Zero Gunner running, not sure about Pilot Kids.
