I think I’m going to try a different JVS -> JAMMA IO. I was going to get one from Axun, but it’d take months.

Is there a consensus best one out there (that’s likely to be readily available)?

So I just happened to be knobbing around on YouTube today, and I came across this video…

You may recognise the guy who posted it!!

Anyway, the same issue is clearly present. Red triangles across the screen.

Great to see it’s a common issue.

@Monstermug , did you ever get to the bottom of it?

No I sold it many years ago only to rebuy another one decades later for sickening prices.

This is my current batrider.

And for the record I don't remember seeing that issue while playing it. I only noticed it when you pointed it out to me. Seems to show up on camera pretty clearly though. TBH i wouldn't worry about it, its not broken. You can always try a sync jamma corrector adapter.
I think at the time of taking the first batrider video, i had recently necked my nanao and had to use one of those crappy weiya tri sync chassis on a tri sync tube. Picture was pretty bad so maybe that was why i didnt spot it  It was ages ago though.

With that being the case, is this likely to assist??

https://irkenlabs.com/jammafier/tri-sync-helper/

Only think on the site that doesn’t actually be available to buy right now. Anyone know of an alternative?

I have a spare Tri Sync Helper, but I don't think it'll help I'm sorry to say.

I beleive it's just to attenuate the video signals, so that VGA and JAMMA get output at the same levels. The Konami JAMMA to JVS adaptor you are using already does that, and from what I understand, does it very well.

I just had a quick go at adding the TSH to my Windy 2 setup, and it just made the image really dark as it is attenuating a signal that has already been attenuated. (pics make it look brighter than it actually is!)

Hopefully someone else will be able to suggest a device that could help. Anyone you know locally that happens to have an Invzim Jammafier that you could do a quick test with?

(Sorry, only just seen the reply)

Ah man. Thanks for checking!! I genuinely appreciate it!!

I’d really like the Windy II to be my forever cab (along side the U4), but it’s a big deal that I can’t use my most expensive board (and favourite SHMUP) on it.

It’s just one game, and I can still use a supergun of course, but it’s not the same :(

Just thought, have you tried using the different inputs on the chassis to see if one of them makes a difference?

These just here:

I certainly have not!!

I’ll investigate that next!

Chassis needs a service actually, so this might spur me on to actually doing it

Edit: In the meantime, I'll just have to slum it :lolno:

@ChrisBEANS I think I could gest used to slumming it with that set-up :awe:

Is that 'the' B&O with a new front glass if it is then it looks great and assuming no permanent damage to the back I'd guess it was all worth it in the end.

That’s the one!! Worked out a treat!!

The back’s absolutely not the same anymore, but it’s only been a couple of months I guess.

Coincidentally helped by a bunch of codeine!

Youch! Back problems can end up getting unsuspectingly serious, my brother needed two major back operations last year to sort out a mess he'd made of his back many years before lifting something heavy and twisting at the same time, it got better and then eventually got much worse.

Hope it's nothing too serious, moral of my brothers story is get it looked at sooner rather than later if you think you may have 'tweaked' something. Don't use too much of that Codiene but def put your feet up in that comfy chair in front of the screen :awe:
