Naomi cart repairs

Post by gozaimas »

Is there anyone in the UK who looks at failing Naomi PCBs? I have a couple of carts that have worked in the past, but now usually fail to boot – probably a failed chip that needs replacement.

https://www.irepairsega.com is based in the US, which makes him an unaffordable option. Is there anyone UK-based who looks at this kind of board?

Thanks for the advice. I emailed Andy and he wrote back to say it's almost certainly the 16-bit buffer chips that have died and need replacing. He doesn't do this work any more, so it looks like Ken at www.irepairsega.com in the US is the only option these days. Gah!

Anyone who can do SMD soldering can replace them.
