Nice list!! Some pricey picks on there though :-o

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs was on UKVAC for £850 the other day…
(Might still be available if you’re feeling double flush?!)

It’s one I’d really love, but at that price I’m afraid it’s probably beyond my grasp…

I’d certainly try to get hold of MS5 ASAP, the price seems to be rising sharply for some reason?? If you’re not set on a cart, the stand alone PCB price seems to have stayed about the same.

I saw it on UKVAC, but sadly can't afford those prices until maybe next year when I might have a bit more free money.

I think it's not just MS5 that's gone crazy, all the games seem to be going crazy, ever since they last were going crazy! (Which don't seem all that crazy now in hindsight!).

The pandemic closed down many game centers in Japan. That in combination with a increased interest in game preservation, nostalgia and showa era games in general the Japanese started buying "back" games like crazy.

I say back since the west have vacuumed Japan for the good part of 20 years.

It's evident since japanese interaction with western web sites like collectors forums, eBay etc have increased largely.

Back in the JAMMA days though games were constantly being replaced in Japan with newer games, they just wanted rid of the old stuff that was past it’s money making shelf life. If it went abroad then so be it, they likely assumed nobody would ever care for this stuff again in Japan. They can hardly be angry that we bought all their old tat when they didn’t want it.

Exactly. So much stuff would be now gone if people in the west hadn't bought them.

I'm definitely taking a stack of PCBs with me if I ever go back to Japan. The prices that I see on YJ are absurd.

Oh I never said they were angry. They're probably just very bitter.

Like when you hear someone how they sold their NES games in favor of the next generation console and how they regret it.

It's been decades since I went on this forum it seems like, but since I now have two fully working Sega Model 3 Step 2 stacks, the two games I'm after for the platform are Fighting Vipers 2, 'cause it's an awesome playing fighter with very smooth physics no matter what the character, and Emergency Call Ambulance, as I'm not too crazy over Sega Rally 2 or Dirt Devils personally (run on the same step). Additionally, I've yet to track down a Digital Sound Board for my Daytona 2 BOTE then learn how to wire it (they're not too difficult to find though a little pricey), but that biodome Beginner course is the absolute nuts.

Currently I play most of my Model 2 and 3 driving games with a hacked Dreamcast HKT-7400/7430 race controller. For simple racing fun (no footpedals), it's almost perfect and the hand pedals feel good, especially when placing the wheel sitting in a laptop stand on your keyboard tray. Only you can't really play manual in the 4-speed games unless you wanna get complicated and hook a shifter up. :)

Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting (Euro or USA board). I searched this board for years on forums without success. I can find it on Ebay, but at some ludicrous prices

I think it's funny that this is the PCB on the last post of page 1 and also on the last post of the final page!

It's definitely one of my coming up on final PCBs to snag. I also would like to find a reasonably priced MMP!

Cannon Dancer is really expensive now, for what it is. I recommend a conversion from a $150 PCB!

Yeah, I thought about that. I will most likely go that route instead of not having it at all.
