Final Vendetta MVS
Great article by Aaron Potter on Final Vendetta in this months Wireframe magazine
https://wireframe.raspberrypi.com/artic ... h-attitude
You can download a pdf copy of the entire magazine below.
https://wireframe.raspberrypi.com
I'm a subscriber and generally find the content quite refreshing since it covers both games and game development, also reviews tend to be unbiased. For example check out former Atari employee Howard Scott Warshaw's take on how he loved developing for the Dreamcast on page 46.
Some quotes on FV include
"The studio's commitment was such that one of its earliest decisions was to rebuild Final Fight From scratch to see see if a modern beat-'em-up made in the same style would sill work"
"We felt the Neo Geo needed [another] great beat-'em-up'
"The cartridge release will arrive shortly after launching on modern consoles in May"

I'd not heard of this, looks good. Nothing I like better than a good ol' side scrolling' brawler.

Re: Final Vendetta MVS
I’ve just seen that some of the music is by Utah Saints!!!
I really want in on some sort of ‘full kit/collectors edition’ set with a soundtrack. It’s not staying in a wrapper either!

Re: Final Vendetta MVS
You can’t yet…
PC/console release in May, then an MVS release after that.
I’ll be keeping a close eye out for the MVS release/pre-order and I’m sure plenty of others here will too, so it’s bound to pop up in this thread when it’s available.

Re: Final Vendetta MVS
Got to go for the 1992 version with some Atari ST rave action.
Kate Bush agreed they could release the track which contains a sample lifted from 'Something Good' / 'Cloudbusting' LP.

Re: Final Vendetta MVS
I had no idea this was coming to MVS until I saw this thread! Pretty cool.
As long as it doesn't turn out to be a total dud, I'll probably pick one up.

Re: Final Vendetta MVS
Slightly underwhelmed by that truth be told. Sparse backgrounds and something in motion looks off to me.
