Hmm this is a tricky one, but I'm going to go with Ninja Princess, known over here as Sega Ninja. I'm cheating slightly as I got the board about two years ago from an old Op here in the UK, but it was totally dead and have only managed to get it working this year. It was repaired by a good friend of mine and interestingly had been factory converted to Wonder Boy. The board has been put back to Sega Ninja, such a cool little game.

My favourite arcade purchase of 2021 was services from @grantspain
Nothing makes one want to cry more than turning on a cab and being present with a black screen and clicking noise
But nothing is more satisfying than having it fixed (just before Christmas)

Grant’s a wizard.
100% seriously, I bought a Windy II with the best intentions, but I’ve decided that I just don’t have the space or realistically even the actual need for it… chassis needs a service and some work on the geometry… so I decided I’d have to let it go.
This single picture has made me very seriously question doing that. Genuinely!

P.S. I got it to play MS6 and Dolphin Blue at 31kHz, great to see an AW on it

I've bought 1 bloody thing this year
The only arcade related thing I bought in 2021 was the Terry Bogart Amiibo. I'm only missing one MVS game for the full set, so there's not much left to buy.
Wanted: SNK Candy 18 spares. Mainly looking for a marquee holder & the "video games" sign.
Rival Megagun and Battle Princess. They've gotten a bit of love where they're installed. Lots of fun. I don't remember if Vritra was last year or the year prior anymore, but that's a hot one as well.
