Dagashi arcade cab book

Post by mx5dob »

Anyone know the name of the book featured in these images?

It's from a page on a forum about dagashi cabinets

True!
There's certainly some very odd shaped Dagashi cabs out there that I've seen!

Yeah, they were tiny cabs for kids that were found in really cheap Japanese candy shops. I've also heard them called Dagashiya.

Adding ya will make anything "shop". Ramen-ya, Dagashi-ya, etc. So it's literally candy shop.

Theres a candy shop near me that has ~12 of those inside running various games on horrible monitors. Everything has a green tint.
Across the street is a warehouse with holes in the walls / no windows, and theres literally hundreds inside. Never been interested, because those things look homemade, and they're all in terrible condition.

The one's I've seen on Yahoo auctions seem to go for a good price: £700 ish. Funny you should mention that they look homemade. I'm going to make one myself :D
