Looks like a western style barcade in akihabara.. even has the awful mame-lcd-behemoth cabs.. i cant see this going down well with the vibe of akihabara but what do i know..

Actually the western barcades that i have seen have been pretty good with original cabs and certainly not filled with mame-monsters or 4:3 games on a vewlix. So i don't think to call it western isnt quite fair tbh.

What's even a bigger offense is that they are single player cabinets. On one hand, they comply with social distance, but on the other, it feels like wasted space to have one player only when the pandemic is over.
I have seen a fair share of those cabinets here in the USA, but at least they are two player and make use of leftover arcade cabinets.

Agreed those Twitter pictures give a certain view , but if you look at the kotaku article, it's not bad inside with some hardware we'd (on this forum) approve of. It's the merch however that looks really great . . .
