Sega Gigo closes
Re: Sega Gigo closes
Had to turn notifications off after tweeting that. 2K retweets and 3K likes. Just goes to show what an iconic building that is. One of SEGA's quieter game centers by all accounts but still a very bad sign.
Re: Sega Gigo closes
It's sad. I guess this is the results by Corona in a combination of gentrification towards more modern and luxurious building (throwing out the culture with the old).
Not a game center but the Tsukumo building at Akihabara station south exit next to Sega No.4 is also closing. That whole building will be torn down.

Re: Sega Gigo closes
Always a shame to see another arcade close. Did this one have much in the way of CRT + Joystick cabs?
Re: Sega Gigo closes
Nothing in terms of Crt, but it did have modern vs fighters, hence joystick cabs, only LCD though.
