Request for Tanoshimasu to tweak the difficulty please? (at least in the service menu).

Maybe have 4 settings.

1. Ja-hee-zuss! (what shipped)
2. Ultra
3. Hard
4. Normal

Don't get me wrong. It's definitely a very polished game, but the difficulty is unforgiving on later stages. If the bomb charge refilled quicker, we might stand a chance.

I also found the game a bit "easier" if you disable the story mode. Also having a bit more luck on 3:4 HUD.

Maybe it just needs a bullet speed tweak. I don't know, it's possible that this wasn't made for the working family man

I think it was always intended for the hardcore. Shou said they were trying to break the record for bullets on screen. I did wonder how the lack of slowdown on such powerful hardware would feel. Slowdown was always part of the fun with Cave games. It'll be interesting to see if Cave add it.

Am I the only one who the bomb charge level ball around the ship disturbs for playing and dogging bullets ? :(

I never played a game with the ship “encapsulated” in a ball .

Makes me harder the game play

Ok, now that looks much more fair! I also like the patterns in that video.

so what all of you have is harder /faster than the video ?

What are the shmup experts making of it?
I'd personally would like something to be ridiculously hard... But I also suck at these so they all seem the same.
I do agree that it would have been nice to have a god /wimp :awe: mode select in the menu but god mode set as default.

I don't think the updated version has made it to many Japanese arcades yet.

Yes. The patterns are a little bit different too. I think the difficulty will put off most players. I've already spent 10,000yen playing this and can't get past stage 3. I'm not the best shmup player, but even I can get to stage 4 of DDP DOJ on 1 coin

@Shou, any chance we can get the original version with slower bullets? ;)

You've only had it a week. At least you got yours

Hopefully a strategy thread will pop up on shmups eventually.

My annoyance below:
Stage 2 mid level boss is what **** me off at the moment. The pattern is ok, but then they added this little annoying a$$hole ship which fires alternating shots (left, then right) which are very difficult to see :palm: more annoying than the end of level boss
I know the game is good because it has that "1 more go" effect. I just wish some things would be tweaked a little bit.

I also rotated the monitor yesterday (took an hour) :awe: It really is lovely in proper 9:16 full screen!

@Rocco, do you remember how this played last year when it was setup in your arcade event?
