She enjoyed Polystars too. She insisted on being player 1 since that character was cooler to her lol
Also HotD Overkill. She absolutely loved that when it came out. We spent nights playing 2P co-op. Granted not arcade but shes enjoyed all the other HotD games as well. We 2P cleared 4 at a Gameworks for my birthday some years ago

My GF loves Mr Driller, Bomberman and Tetris, she would play these single player no problem. Co-op, she likes Turtles 1, Sunset Riders and Tekken/Soul Calibur.
2X Sega Aero City

Me and my ex played a lot of Shock Troopers
One of the more accessible games for 2 people is Windjammers.

Re: Games to play with your spouse?
numan athletics and mach breakers are futuristic track and field games that are quick to pick up and really good competitive play
any of the bubble bobble games as mentioned and i would also point out rainbow islands and the new zealand story though they are alternating turns so can be a bit boring if someone gets a long run, parasol stars is a good alternative if you can run the pce version through your cab
volfied is by the same guy that designed bubble bobble and rainbow islands the best qix fill em up style game there is imo
i would say magical drop 3 over puzzle bobble/bust a move due to the faster pace but it takes a bit of time to pick up

Another thumbs up for Puzzle Bobble, she loves that.
Re: Games to play with your spouse?
My wife absolutely loves "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" and "Overcooked", none of them arcade games, but play great in a Viewlix or widescreen LCD cab.

Nekop.... Nah, I didn't say anything *whistles*
These are not arcade games, but my wife likes to play city management games like Pharaoh and Caesar III (I know, they're old, but she doesn't like the newer ones) or larger scale ones like the Civilizations series.

My wife loves Uo Poko, she even bought the PCB herself.
She is also into Puzzle Bobble 2 on the F3 and Super Puzzle Bobble on the G-Net.

Re: Games to play with your spouse?

once a month my wife is asking: "when are you selling your 2nd cabinet? One is enough already".

Well I got hold of Puzzle Bobble at least, let's see how it works out.
I'm also looking into getting Mr. Driller G. It looks stupidly fun in two player.

Bubble Bobble is a great choice. Cuteness of Bub and Bob make this game timeless classic.

Have BB and have since then also gotten Mr Driller 2/G.
