I preordered the Mega Drive version. Really looking forward to playing the game, Henk Nieborg did the spritework and the soundtrack is sensational:

Ordered the MVS Collectot's Edition. The Megadrive version looks fantastic, can't wait to play it on the MVS.

Cheers for that! :) MVS will certainly run at 60fps. I'm a sucker for 60fps. :D

I went for the MVS standard kit. 8-)

If they could add a slight zoom/shrink of the play field as you run around that would be next level coolness.

A scaling effect would be awesome but is it really necessary? I mean...you see the entire room on one screen.

Maybe only add it when transitioning from a cleared room into a new one?

You are probably right in terms of the level design.

..but any excuse for some crazy zoom action, Super Dodge Ball is a particular master at this style.

I also love that typical Neo Geo zoom effect but with Xeno Crisis it's quite important to have full-screen all the time because of the action. :)

Nope, not shipped yet. But the MD version is almost finished according to the last newsletter. This is also where you can find updates.

They released a second video with footage from the Mega Drive version a few months back.

They wrote about plans for the Neo Geo version on FB.
........As for the Neo Geo version, we’re adding a number of enhancements that just aren’t technically feasible on the Mega Drive version be that due to lack of ROM space, CPU performance or other Mega Drive limitations. These enhancements will include an arcade attract mode, the ability to join in as the second player at any point, extra sprite frames, colour depth, palettes that we couldn’t quite squeeze in on the Mega Drive, more speech, sound effects, as well as full integration with Neo Geo hardware for features like coin/credit support, memory cards, etc...
We're also looking to use some scaling effects where appropriate too

I have pre-ordered an MVS copy of this and eagerly awaiting shipment. I don't expect to receive it until October/November though.

I believe they have been developing the Neo version in parallel with Megadrive.

Only a pure guess and and I could be completely wrong, but they might need a little a bit longer than November date to perfect it - and they seem to have a keen eye for quality.

I'm personally happy to wait if it means a polished product or would equally impressed if it turns up ready to go on the doorstep in October.

Yep, MD is shipping. MVS will take some more time though (see here).
Dreamcast / Neo Geo

We’ve not forgotten the Dreamcast and Neo Geo versions - we’re really excited to start full-on development for these once the bulk of the MD orders have shipped later this week. We’ll be back soon with a more normal development update for everyone.
