After hours and hours of searching in a gameroom they’ll most likely say „Ok, there’s nothing here, let’s get out of here, this sick gaming **** gives me the creeps.“. :D

My most rare pcbs are Kiki kaiKai (don't know if this was ever released in the west) and the japanese version of Kid Niki: Kaitetsu Yanchamaru-kun, the only person I know who have this pcb appart from me is Shou.

Rarest game I have is probably Kuro .
But the still unscathed state of my DF box is also rare I feel as those early Cave games where usually just shipped in their kit box .

My CPS 1 multi (the French one, not the Chinese one) is the rarest thing I own.
I even believe Shou don't have one. :awe:

I think the most rare PCB of my collection is that non-upgraded Mushihimesama Futari 1.0 kit.
As far as I know, CAVE offered free upgrades from 1.0 to 1.5, so I guess there's not too many left of these vanilla PCB:s!

1.0 is rare indeed. Does yours have Ultra mode unlocked? I had to send mine in to Cave to get that unlocked (I sold the board long ago but sort of miss it).

That 1.0 is incredibly rare now. Most people sent theirs back for the update.

@EOJ, didn't Ultra unlock after a certain amount of time/or 1cc attempts? (that's what I remember). 12 years....wow!

I found the old thread on cave-stg detailing this:

http://cave-stg.com/forum/index.php?topic=371.0

Basically, two version of the PCB exist, one with periods in the MASTER VER and one without. The one without can unlock Ultra via a code (the code is given in the above thread), the one with the periods cannot. Unfortunately I had the latter. I sent it in to Cave through Tops and paid about 30,000 yen in total to unlock Ultra.

I think Ultra mode is unlocked, need to double check when I get home from work though. Mine does not have dots in the MASTER VER text.

Yeah, I have not seen one for sale since I bought mine back in 2014.

I guess it was the same with Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu 1.0 (CAVE providing free upgrades), but I've seen a 2-3 of those for sale in the last few years so it feels more common than vanilla Futari.
I really like that there is no auto-bomb in DFK 1.0. Feels like a whole new game compared to DFK 1.5.

Speaking of DFK 1.0: I captured when I unlocked Type B and Strong style on my DFK 1.0 PCB, thought it could be fun since the unlock is irreversible.

01:46 - Type B unlocked
03:13 - Strong style unlocked

Funnily enough I saw that last week and can confirm the strong unlock works on a 1.5 PCB too.

Def DFK 1.0 for me but if we go into hardware...It was a long time before I found myself an original 1L6B Egret 2 panel. And I havent seen one of those come up for sale in a long time now.
