This is another case where the art could just be made available to download? Someone like muddymusic could easily make a small print run of these. It's what, three stickers (left and right monitor surround, move strip) and the translucent header?
No Japanese company or any major IP owner would accept that someone else is printing their work and profiting off it without giving back to them.
That makes sense. My only question is, why was the cost of this just not rolled into the price of the kit. I mean we are already paying $1,504 per game. I dont think the base price + artwork costs would stop anyone who was already going to buy game.
Artwork is included - A3 instruction card and instruction strip. This was made to fit all cabinets rather than target any 1 single cabinet type.
For example, a CRT cab owner is not going to be able to use a Vewlix sized instruction strip as it is too long to fit. A Vewlix header does not work in any other cabinet.

It was somewhat common practice with X2 games. I know because I still have some of them on a USB drive somewhere.

Since you're going for the NeoGeo model and selling hardware that will be installed into cabinets that you're not providing, personally I think it's the best option available. US guys will most likely be putting your hardware into woodies, there's no one size fits all solution for artwork.

I have this one weird question for Exa Arcadia:

Does Exa Arcadia games require to go through ratings boards, or optionally support ratings like CERO, because I do not see any ratings for arcade games. We normally see CERO, ESRB, USK, and others for home and digital games. I wonder if other international ratings are supported as well?

ESRB and CERO are strictly consumer level ratings boards. I don't think a similar standard for arcade games ever caught on, though American arcade games of a certain age will display some manner of age warning if the publisher deemed it appropriate.

It's sized to fit CRT cabs and LCD cabs. The size of the obi strip is shorter on CRT cabs.

It's definitely an odd "solution"

But at least the game is out!
