I would be fine with 720p minimum
^This. Just as a hobbyist its a pain to maintain; I can only imagine an operator. I had to have 3 chassis repaired the beginning of the year and my toei chassis continues to act up.
I was on the fence with LCD cabs until I bought a Vewlix DIA. Nice screen and so much less of a headache to maintain. JVS is great too, few plugs and you're good to go.
You're all going to get 720p regardless. For the record, I'm not fighting progress and modern Hardware. I welcome it.
However, when you look at the cost, scarcity and fiddlyness of a device such as the UVC, then the added cost of a new scaler sounds negligible. Covering all bases for an extra $150+ sounds incredibly reasonable - especially for the 15khz people living in the past.
If Shou and company developed a decent additional scaler in the region of $150-300, then a lot of existing cabs can be used too. In my eyes that would bring additional sales. Of course Shou doesn't owe us anything, he's already done a lot for arcade revival and longevity.
With so many HD cabs in the country, should not be hard to borrow one from some NA member, or am I wrong ?
Heck pick it up and bring it back they can have my Vewlix C free of Rent.

ya it is in france.
and i agree .. a bit baffling that they want so much money instead of just renting one from the community or heck even put a lcd in some cab...
Interesting there's no dev listed for that fighter? I can't even discern who it might be, it doesn't look like the 'style' of any known dev to me. Totally new team?
