Post pics! Maybe a short review. Considering buying one to simplify using JVS crap.

I finally decided to preorder mine through Red Sun (@Nomax) as a home option. My eventual goal is to still build a 4 player coin-operated cabinet with an Exa Arcadia. Will have to ask around for some advice on how to achieve 4 player with JVS IO boards since the Exa IO board is currently out of stock. The most difficult part is obtaining a proper 60-pin digital harness.

About all new game releases will be moved to next year due to the global component shortage and the cancellation of JAEPO 2022.
We still have a large number of unnannounced titles which will be pushed back while the world heals.
Released games and systems are in very low quantities with no scheduled restock date available.

Mihara is well known to be difficult and someone whom no one wants to deal with in the industry.
It's sad because the other Arika board directors (Nishitani and Hori) are really nice fellows.

With Sega and Taito both having exited joystick arcade games, the only choice left for TGM is exA

It looks great. It would be better with more animations in the background IMHO.
I wonder if the final version will support 16:9 aspect ratio...

It's running on an engine that's almost 20 years old. It's likely pushing the thing to it's limits, and I'm sure a lot of stuff just can't be done on it.

I know, but I think they can modify the engine to improve it like others did with OpenBOR or the Build engine for example.
It's just down to what the licence permits and if they have access to the full source code.

As a fighting game player I'd love nothing more than to see an arcade resurgence for the genre. But expecting too much out of these games built with engines like this is a recipe for disappointment.

I predict someone will find an infinite in week one.

Everyone thinks they know everything.

2D Fighter Maker is exclusively licensed to exA-Arcadia by Kadokawa. We have extended the engine to do things the original engine cannot do like full screen, 4K display, attract demos, actually running like an arcade game etc.

As an Evo finalist myself, we do know something about playing fighters at a competitive level and call upon top players to test. Just like we call the top scorers to QA our shooters.
