I do still like the look of Rumble Storm X. The hentai interludes are kinda just the developer giving shmup nerds what they really wanted from the influx of moe **** in the genre instead of continuing to beat around the bush. I respect that kind of honesty. Doubt I'll ever play the game, though.
Did the other games in development for Hawt Pink get cancelled? I think there were two others (Shakugan and something else), but haven't seen anything on them in a long time.
I did actually pick up a kit of Rumble Storm X, based solely on playing the Switch version and enjoying it and knowing that the X version was more refined. I couldn’t care less about the hentai stuff and turned that off when I got the game. The game plays like a decently easy late Toaplan/early Cave title. Honestly, it’s super fun and I spent awhile learning the clear on normal and hard and enjoyed myself quite a bit. I was hoping there was a TLB or something and worked for a no-miss clear for a while but moved on for now. I’d definitely recommend it for people who want a fun, easier game to spend time with. The soundtrack is really good as is the pixel art and the gameplay, while basic, is also pretty fun.
I keep forgetting to ask here, but I'm running into an issue with the Exa where on my TV, it runs at 2x speed or something like that once I launch a game. It seems like the actual logic is sped up. The sound is playing at the right speed, but gets out of sync almost immediately due to the games running too fast. That's at 1080p. If I try to run a game at 4K ,it slows way down to probably .5x speed. It's totally fine on my computer monitor, though. Anyone else experience this kind of problem?

I noticed that once when a big screen monitor gets used for one instance of Lightning knights from location test; but it seems that not all games are made to take account of the delta time to achieve. The motherboard was reset by operators and Lightning Knights played fine. That one. Inattentive instance the game played slowed down by half.
Best thing to do is study the monitor and test the games on there. I would do the same when making my own cabinet.

First, check that your HDMI cable can do 4K60, older cables can only do 4K30. Change the refresh rate to be 60. Setting it over 60 will result in issues like this.

The cable can do 4K60, so we should be good there. As far as refresh rate, it’s set to 60 on the TV. I can’t remember if there was a setting on the exa for refresh, but I think that would’ve been the first thing I tweaked.
Great news, because I'm not actually a big fan of Batsugun and it has the potential to be improved with some mad hypers and stuff. Nice music and artwork too.
What a great title to come to exa not been this hyped since sdoj was announced!hoping exa mode is gonna be awsome!
Reading the tweet looks like other toaplan games might be comming in the future unless I miss read it!outzone with hypers!just give me hypers!
Yeah stage 4 is still probably one of my fave stages ever, the way that stage flows is something else.yeah great choice, beginner friendly but hard to master, wonder if there gonna keep the loops
Awesome news! I had been regretting selling my pcb years ago and have been actively looking for one and this may end up being cheaper than an original one - plus new modes! Day one purchase for me.
That’s awesome news. I like Batsugun and, given how straightforward the mechanics are, I’m curious what the arrange mode would entail since it’s kinda a blank canvas.
Going back to what Shou hinted at a few months back (the OGs bee coming), I wonder if Dodonpachi is in the cards too. I thought Batsugun was the less likely of the two to get ported.
I’m glad it’s batsugun and not donpachi, batsugun is the mor polished game, now Dodonpachi is a different matter but still don’t think it’s a good idea for exa release unless it gonna be campaign
