I actually did not know that!

Very cool.

I've been playing fighting games for too long to let anyone hype me up with talk tbh. I'm rooting for the idea of a new franchise on exA making people sit up and take notice. But until there's a show and prove game forcing attention I just can't be a believer. Seen too many people talk and not deliver over the years. It's a very difficult genre to get right.

Still, here's hoping!

As you are someone in the FGC, you know that the major franchises are all focused on the overseas (ie not Japan) esports market for the big bucks.
In comparison, the arcade market even in Japan, is small compared to the potential global console market so none of these games will prioritize having anything in the arcade anymore.

Many people probably do not know that SF5 and the SNK games on the Nesica platforms were not developed by the original teams, they were licensed to Taito and outsourced with results which are worse than console.
GGST and VF5 esports/US are a complete lag fest in the arcade due to the APM3's hardware related design issues. Negan is missing from Tekken 7 FR2. As a fighting game fan, only sub par experiences are available in Japanese arcades.
Compounded with this is that the vast majority of operators and players do not understand what causes input lag and display lag so you have game experiences which aren't great for the end players.
Why would customers go to the arcade to play games which are essentially better performing and have more content at home?

The arcades need exclusive and well performing game content to attract customers and that is what we are providing to them.
I'm not saying our new wave of fighters will be the next 3S or ST, however, games like Axel City 2 and Dynamite Bomb!! are providing Neo Geo like new titles for locations which cannot be played anywhere else and we will continue to build upon that in the near future.

As I said on social media recently, we have achieved 1 frame input lag on exA-Arcadia which no other arcade platform has even come close to.
Our future in house titles are already at 1 frame and even with development tools like Unity running 3D titles, we have it performing at 2 frames.
You're getting MVS and CPS2 levels of performance needed in fighters to ensure you can get your guaranteed punishes, 1 frame combo links and generally have a responsive game.
More details about factors of lag and how we approached it will be published in the future.

For our existing titles, we went back and are updating them with this new tech as the underlying engines allow.
Unfortunately, some tools like Game Maker Studio 2 are just not optimized for consistent performance or input lag so they will never be snappy unless the underlying tech stacks are improved.
(We did offer to help YoYo Games but they didn't take us up on it.)

Like you said, actions are what matter.

People thought the exA-Arcadia system and Aka & Blue were vaporware.
We were told that Cave and SNK would never put out games on the system
We were told that Taito and Round 1 would never buy the systems and put them on location.

Yet, all of these things happened.

Just last week, it was our 2nd anniversary since the release of the system in Japan.
In these 2 years, we are the only ones left standing for joystick arcade games outlasting Taito and Sega.

There will always be doubters and as our track record proves, we will always overcome them.

I'm rooting for you Shou! I believe in your mission. Just can't help but be a skeptic when it comes to fighting games, you'll have to win me over with the results.

But I hear you loud and clear about the lag and the poor efforts of modern arcade versions.
