So is this confirmation that cv1000 pcbs are being converted to other games?

Mixed feelings. Impressive hack I'd like to play but this is a whole can of worms being opened. Will CV1000 conversions be easy to spot?

probably not but who knows ,i'm with pang on this ,mixed on it as it involves conversions /converting boards ,looks great and if it was only a "simple" rom swap there would be no problems.

No such thing as a simple CV1000 ROM swap though is there. I suppose a pic of the underside of a PCB would show any shenanigans?

yeah and thats why I would be more opposed to it .I take its more involved than just a jtag type reflashing (which still isnt simple for most). At least most source pcbs arent that cheap anyway but still.

CV1000 reprogramming is essential for long term operation. They'll all start popping their clogs soon enough from bad flash.

I'd want this just for the displayed rank.

Given the value of these PCBs, it's not exactly going to be lucrative for anyone who has the means to do it. So I wouldn't expect a flood of conversions. It's probably cheaper to reproduce the CV1000 Hardware at this point.

Yes. No one can do a factory perfect solder job on the sound section.

I've wondered about this i know reflashing is rated for 10k ish but who know when that is going to start affecting these !....not that anyone plays them anyway ! so no worries for most :awe:

I’m 100% with you. When it’s in the public domain we are sure to see conversions, but the values of the pcbs are so high already, will it really be that much of an issue?

That being said, I would be very weary of any BL, Matsuri and AK home pcbs

Aye, that's always the biggest upside to this sort of thing for me. It's a bit unnerving having expensive PCBs that can't be fixed.

Pretty much. It’s a Mushihimesama PCB running hacked PS code.

the question is now, will we still deny the existance of the AK LE conversion ? will we keep lying about it ?
