PCB shops in Tokyo

Post by Yamazaki »

I am traveling to Japan and Tokyo end of December.

are there any decent arcade shops beside Beep, G-Front and MAK Japan in Akihabara?

Anything I should definitely check out?

Other than those, not really. I hear G-Front isn't open to the public anymore, to boot. Akihabara is a far, far cry from what it was in it's glory days (about 20 years ago) but there's a few arcades still worth checking out (HEY, Try Tower although a lot of it's retro stuff has been depleted). Just pretend the maids and all the creepers going to their cafes aren't there. I'd recommend Game Inn Mikado in Takadanobaba over Akihabara any day though.

Mikado, Game spot Versus and Shinjuku Carnival are the best places to be. :awe:
When it comes to Arcade Spots. Besides the shops you metioned there aren't any shops which sell Arcade related stuff.

thats a shame. it was awkward to find it i remember looking to go there and not finding it twice but seeing it when you leave aki station going to ueno and thinking thats damn easy to find got it on the third try and that top floor bested mikados ground floor in terms of obscure/rare games (summer 2015). thanks for putting games in there, i assumed the plus alpha that was there a couple of years ago was yours? one of the highlights of my trip playing that. the only place in tokyo had a spinner set up for forgotten worlds as well iirc

Is it not simply moving on a whim like they've done a million times?

Def lurking and creeping around. I'll be in Tokyo starting next Saturday, so I'm excited to wander the city, and check out all the good stuff. I'm not in Sweden, but my search for a good condition candy at an at least decent price has not been fruitful. haha

Before I bother beep for a translation, could I ask if anybody has ordered from beep (beep-shop.com) and knows the correct bank name and numbers for doing an international bank transfer? :awe:
