Yahoo Auctions and proxies? How does it all work?
I never used a proxy or Yahoo Auctions and other sites, Is it really worth the trouble for buying games and merch? Anyone have any suggestions or experiences thx

Davewellington has a good comparison in the external sales section of the different providers, and there should be sent other threads to get you started.
I browse and bid now and again (mainly always outbid these days )..... But there isnt as much bargain s to be had these days all you need to do is register, send a deposit amount ,bid and count the costs if successful.

<trk>:I remember catching a big fat one and my friend said "throw it back in, that one already tastes like wood"

I've used fromjapan a dozen or so times based on the thread geo mentioned (thanks dave) and never mad an issue. its not any hassle at all very straightforward system for using yaj just don't try to use it as a sniping tool as i missed a couple of things by putting the order in too late. i also ordered from a pcb shop and it was just as smooth as using yaj with them

Notably I haven't updated that fee comparison thing in forever. I use fromjapan these days, they're quite good. Overall it's usually worthwhile, you generally undercut ebay prices significantly and items tend to be in much better condition.

I've used buyee (the "official" service) dozens of times. Fees are probably higher but I've 0 issues with all of my packages. It's super simple.
I used to use from japan - also great.

I've used Rinkya, Shopping Mall Japan and From Japan. They're all good but for the last two years I've stuck with FJ. Their shipping rates with FedEx are loco Just received 30 kg goods for 16k yen. Unless u buy tons of sub 1000 yen items FJ's fees are hard to beat nowadays. They've got flat rate 300 yen basic service or 700 yen insured per item. Buying from external stores is hassle free as well.

Just to throw it in there, I used Treasure Japan a couple of times and thought it was excellent:

I've only used Shopping Mall Japan so far, they take very good care and know how to repack for international delivery.

Nope, you can't bid on items from the adult section through FJ..but there's still some NSFW stuffs spread around elsewhere. Though I've seldom come across any unless specifically looking for itYamazaki wrote:GeekMan1222 wrote:I was browsing fromjapan a few weeks ago at work it look awsome until i saw some NSFW stuff LOL i was like alright time to do this at home never got around to it yet
