It's a collection of games to play, of course. Even if it's a little impractical, I just think it'd be cool if it all looks nice on a shelf when the games aren't in use.

They didn't ask me to. I explained it was worth (lots) in total with individual items being worth between £10 and £4000, I had to explain what they were and whether they were things someone could easily resell like jewellery is. When the person I was speaking to had digested the information, size, value etc they simply made a note about it on my account.markedkiller78 wrote:I’m with HBOS and have to declare anything over £1500. Do Lloyd’s not insist on that?
I do keep a detailed Excel sheet with location, last known value / price paid, condition notes, battery dates and serial numbers among other things, but not counting garage junk boards there are 750-ish now.

Re: How do you store your bare pcb?
The PCB storing topic really gave me a headache. I didn't want to use boxes since all the different sizes of the PCBs will make it nearly impossible to have an coherent appearance. I didn't want to use bubble wrap as I play those quite regularly and I would be anxious to break off a capacitor or anything else. PCB feet would be nice but sagging is another point. Building custom cases would be cool (3D printer anyone?) but expensive plus you'll have another issue: heat. In the end I arranged them like that and I'm quite happy with it (except for the fact that the shelf is already full )

Nice suicider, I wish I had a shelf like that.
I probably have one of the worst looking storage solutions, rest of the hallway is littered with old TVs I need to dump and other junk I'm too lazy to get rid of

Re: How do you store your bare pcb?
I use furniture especially designed for pcbs. There is a CPS Dash/CPS2 solution, a generic tower that fits CPS2 and M92, an Ikea Hermes line with 17 mostly 6mm triplex glass selves and my main arcade table which fits a lot of stuff undernith the supergun including a gigantic Atari Primal Rage. All of them are equiped with industrial rubber wheels with break for easy moving arround except the Ikea white Hermes one. Wood used is very duarable synthetic waterproof. I can't name it in English

Reorganized the PCB storage a bit. Corstat boxes for CAVE/Raizing/Toaplan, and bubble wrap for the other stuff!
CAVE box protectors with business cards inside them so that I can identify the game/artwork quickly.

Re: How do you store your bare pcb?
I've bought a few Corstat boxes to store my Cave SH3 loose PCBs. I bought model 3230-6, as suggested in this thread. However, they seem like a really tight fit, I have to add a good deal of pressure to close the box completely.
