Games you've been looking to buy for decades?

Can't remember the last time I saw an original Psychic5 for sale anywhere... And they were EVERYWHERE in my local arcades back in the 90's.

Maybe they were all bootlegs?

I love the game so much, i'm sitting on three bootleg pcb's (two work, with sound issues) and one parts board.
When the title tune comes on, it's like a little angel is rubbing my nipples, and i'm back in the arcade in France at the age of 12 when everything was great and perfect.

I'm not obsessed and stalking these pcb's. But, i've seen two original Psychich 5 boards for sale in The Netherlands over the last three years.
They came from a large Dutch collector and were sold on Ebay.

There are originals out there, but the bootleggers must have had a great distribution network. And a guy on the inside who stole the pcb design.

LOL, nope, I have never bought any arcade pcbs on Ebay, my 2 Psychic 5 pcbs were bought locally here in Uruguay, but yea that one in retrovicio was one of them, both are still working .

For me Dodonpachi Saidaioujou - I would expect at least an equal amount of DDP SDJ were created as with the other 2004+ CAVEs.
But so far I have not been able to find it (or I look in the wrong places )

well , that insane yahoo auction killed it pretty much, People are now asking 3000€++ for it

it is on top of my list aswell, with Death Smiles MBL and King of Fighters XIII Climax

Most of them must have been. For such a rare game it sure was popular in Denmark.

I'm not looking for this game but often keep an eye on since 4-5 years.
I should see it 1-2 times each year, as original . . . and once again, I'm not looking for it.

I owned it as bootleg. Original game but not enought fun for me. It's why i never bought it as original or even kept it as bootleg.

That's just insane! the last time I looked at it, it wasn't encased in a AES cartridge to make it that expensive.
From what I've read, there weren't as many copies produced as thd other (regular) Cave games, but I'm not sure if that's true. I guess that most persons that have this game will probably never sell it (like me by the way) and when they sell them it's sold within hours of listing it...I think I bought it within 30 minutes after it was listed at Shmups forum (I just couldn't resist the temptation).

"joystick version"? I don't know if such board exist, I own an original board which has some sort of mod in the trackball controller circuit that I believe its purpose is to enable joystick support.
