Should be interesting to see how crazy they go with the bullets. I certainly won't be biting for a long time though. You can still get one of the "150" MFBL easy enough.

Considering the fact I've never played any of the black labels(plan on buying MFBL eventually), I wanna see how it turns out. Maybe they will put another game up there with it like I here they did with DaiOuJou. They did do that didn't they?

It was originally a Cave fan service to the hardcore players (and operators), with game mechanic tweaks for higher scoring and more difficulty, with a limited 100 PCB print run to keep it exclusive to just this group.

Yeah, I'll have to keep an eye on this. I've heard many people say the original is easier than most cave games. This label will prob make it harder I'd guess. I own ibara black label, but have never played any others. That is one of my favorite shooters ever though no question.

I’ve been playing far too much Death Smiles. Every time I close my eyes I can see Pumpkins / crowns / skulls, 1000+259 multipliers & I can hear the SFX when you select a level, text pops up on screen.

I’ve gone from thinking it’s **** (I didn’t know how to score), to thinking it’s too easy (I figured out how to score), to thinking it’s too hard (suicide hell & Canyon).

After 4 days play I've managed 112m ALL, so the game is easy, but the Canyon & Suicide bullets make it one tough mother. I'm with SP's theory that they are just getting shot of their old hardware here, but you never know.

I’ve no idea what Mega Black Label is going to be like, but my gut says it’s going to be much tougher. I suspect that you will be able to play all the Levels on Rank99 / Death 2 with suicide bullets galore, but what I’m really hoping for is a DOJ style black label where you get the Vanilla & BL versions of the game. If this is the case, then it could be one of caves finest.

I'd guess either 1) SH-3 doesn't permit it or 2) Cave won't do that as long as they have DS kits to shift

sure, biggest difference is in original mode and "ultra" has been replaced with "GOD" mode.

original BL - more enemies, strikter rank, alot more bonus and very agressive proximity reward system, alot of fun and great beginners mode, gets progressiveley harder the more you learn to score (just getting the 1CC is fairly easy).

maniac BL - very similar to 1.5 only more bulletcancelling enemies, some altered patterns.

GOD BL - like ultra but with maniacs scoring system instead of originals, absoluteley over the top **** awesome stuff with multipliers and gold all over the screen all the time, definetly one of caves best games this mode (very hard, but not as hard as ultra).

one difference across all modes is the shot type has been removed alltogether, the characters now are alot more powerful from the get-go instead.
