KRAUT BUSTER is a comical action Run'n'Gun shooting game made for the 16 bit system NEO·GEO.

MISSION

Europe, Krautland 1936

You are part of the glorious albeit infamous Kraut Buster corps.
Your goal is to defeat the evil dictator Dolph Edelwolf and rescue all chicks!

Play as either John "Küken" Mallone or Jack "Handsome" Rowdy.

Game Features (exact details are subject to change):

- several long stages with varied and changing settings
- 5-6 end bosses and several sub bosses
- 2 player simultaneous mode
- Chain based scoring system to provide a long term challenge
- multiple heights/ways platforming for more ways to play the game
- 3 "routes" / difficulties
- Arcade perfect playtime of approx. 35 minutes per run (normal route)
- Bloodpumping arcade soundtrack by Rafael Dyll
- 60fps

- Beautiful handcrafted 16-bit pixel art

Looks really nice. Art style reminds me of Monkey Island.

Hope they fix the main character's movement though, it's awful.

It feels wrong to call a new game for Neo lazy, but the mor or less complete recreation of MS sprites is a bit much

lol was thinking the same , outside of the metal slugness there is some nice touches /animations in it and looks well in places,

Looks along way of been finsihed from that vid ,also the crows are too big and granny and cows look out of place at times

The player in this video plays it very fast, but the game allows you to choose your own pace. May it be fast and furious or slow and methodical.
We tried to show the verticalness of the game play too. We added a lot of opportunities to fight the enemies on different height levels and you can take advantage of your surroundings.

We offer this time 3 MVS variants for the first time. The Gamer Edition is new and saves a little bit on both the game and shipping.

Like usual we started with MVS pre orders, within the next few month we add AES pre orders too.

As you know by now this is not the rumored "top-down soldier" project. Both projects are related though. Kraut Buster is the main franchise, the other will be a smaller spin off sharing characters.

I'm all for NG DEV TEAM. I'd like to see it further in development with less erratic character movement before pre ordering this.

Any currency buffs know if the Euro is likely to get even cheaper over the next few months?

talks were that it was ,As the US could possibly raising interest rates signaling a stronger dollar etc (last weeks news)but **** if i could second guess it. I wouldnt see it getting much worse but who knows whats around the corner greece /uk stance ,i'm wishing it the other way

Is that like you can only say I'M A MASSIVE RACIST if you're black?

Their games look nice enough but always have this homebrew vibe in the gameplay. Look at the jump animation or the tanks graphics for example; this isnt retail quality

A lot of nice pixels and animation in this game. All running in glorious 60fps too, Well done!!! A bit more support here please. Nobody will ever beat MS but that's not the intention i guess.

am I the only one who was totally annoyed by the Wilhelms Scream from every enemy?

I'm German and am I offended? No..
I would be offended if I wouldn't be German because there seems to be quite a lot of German in this game and you guys wouldn't get the references (the name of the Boss for example)
