All joking aside, I was impressed by the veneer in Japan. On the surface all looks ok, but from what people were telling me the kids are nuts.

Drink, Drugs, teenage prostitution, hi abortion rate in the under 20s’. It’s all kept on the down lo of course.

obviously that stuff does go on. but the japanese are weird. each older generation is terrified that the next generation are gonna go completely off the rails and their non-conformity will ruin the country. it almost borders on paranoia. look at battle royale, and practically half of takeshi miike's movies. really common theme i suppose that's what happens when you're so entrenched in traditional values, etc

I still don't understand WHY these things cost so damn much.. you could build an equivalent to the TypeX2 hardware for around $1000... so I'm paying $2500 for the game code, a HDD and a USB key?
