Nice. Is he selling them? Are they just slip-cases?

Well, I'm currently trying to motivate him to. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Yes, they are "slip" case type. Like old video tape cassettes.

They are actually glossy, made of hard paper/carton colored bright neo-geo-red color with a black stripe with logo.

Re: Neo Geo slim case
If he is going to sell them, I would think it would make most sense to have them be generic with no name on the side, but just the box. Then people can affix an appropriate label (which he could also sell).

Re: Neo Geo slim case
How do you all store your MVS-carts these days? Shockboxes?
I've currently got the black larger plastic ones, with transparent layer where I've placed the appropriate artwork for each game. But since I haven't got any marquees or flyers for my games I feel that they are too bulky.
These slim cases are perfect for the cart alone, or if you store your arts some places else.

Tomas, Tomas, Tomas....
You have to get up earlier in the morning than that to fool me into something like this
But to get the facts straight
They are 370g/m2 paperboard
UV-printed and then glossy laminated
The stickers are plain die cut vinyl stickers
From a production standpoint they really fail, you can make thirty just because you can and are able but after that sadly it just aint worth it.

Why is it not worth it? Perhaps someone with an arcade web-store would be interested in such things...

Aha, hello there, Jod! I thought I'd promote your stuff a little here. It's a much too awsome product to keep within the swedish borders. Perhaps there is a possibility to take it to massproduction in a near future.
This wonderful idea was hatched what .. one week ago? And now we have the prototypes. This is in deed something to celebrate.

Form fitting thin transparent ones that could stay on while in use would be nice. Heck, I'm sure someone must shrink wrap carts...

Ikea's Benno at the moment the few kit boxes are stored elsewhere but it's not the best solution as you waste the space of 1 DVD width each row.uncletom wrote:How do you all store your MVS-carts these days? Shockboxes?
In Germany is a show wich produces snap-case style shells that that look like those for the home games from 95 onwards.

I've never known any game cart to get above ambient temperature, and they are virtually all sealed units already
