Hi
I've purchased a NAOMI 2 motherboard with export bios. The reason for this is to play Virtua Fighter 4: Final Tuned. My setup is a Supergun with Sticks with Neo Geo and Capcom button layout.
My question is this:
I've seen a video on yt where a guy explains that VF4:FT can be played both in US region and Japanese regions. Is this game region free and what about if I'm going to play it on a NAOMI 2 with export bios, will this work?
Of cause I'm going to find a NAOMI GD-Rom with a Dimm board with firmware 3.17. A power supply and a JVS to JAMMA I/O converter
Any thoughts on this..!
Virtua Fighter 4: Final Tuned help?

Re: Virtua Fighter 4: Final Tuned help?
It didn't work with export bios for me (in a netbooting setup), I had to get someone to burn me a Japanese region bios rom.
BTW you may also need to find a way to remap your buttons to get the proper button layout, VF games usually have the guard button as button 3.

Ok then so export bios don't work, also what I expected but I needed to be sure. I couldn't find any information about this?
I'll try to hunt down a Japanese bio for my NAOMI 2 then. Ok good to know about the VF button layout. Thanks

You can get a full list of what Naomi games are supported in each region on the wiki right here (though I'm not sure if it's all 100% accurate).
