Anybody know how many PGM 1 motherboard revisions that exists and if they have any id, like revision number or something? Also, if there's any functional differences between them?

I'm curious since I've encountered two (see the photos in my previous post) and supposedly there's another one with IGS printed on the back of the PCB.

Interesting question, mine are the same as the non coin cell mobo in your picture.

Mine have pgm molded into the red plastic cover, do the ones that don't have this and have the foil sticker instead
Like this one http://s27.photobucket.com/user/cusser/ ... 5.jpg.html

have a different board too.... anyone have one they can check?

Both mine also have the PGM logo molded into the cover. Though it is possible that the one with coin cell may has been swapped at some point. Unfortunately the date sticker on that mobo is unreadable so I don't know the manufacturing date :(

That's a shame about the date sticker :(

Hopefully someone else will be able to help with this one.

That so suxx  Check with sheep_nova on fleaBay. I think he's got a few available for a decent price. Just make sure you get some pics of the mobo before buying ;) I bought the one with coin cell battery from him.

I have the two types of plastic cover, with sticker and molded, but none has a coin cell holder.
I can check the PCB layout if you guys are interested.

Did you try patching the broken traces? I've successfully repaired one in that condition, it was as easy as this:

That'd be awesome. If you could snap a couple of pics of the unit + top/bottom of the main PCB, I'd be grateful :awe: Would be great to get them on the wiki

These are just for reference, if you want to post something later, i can take some better quality ones. The stiker says Feb 1997 and Jan 1999. The older one has some nasty corrosion and a ghetto repair, lol.

The PCB have a different color but the layout seems the same. When i take the better quality pictures i can also take them apart to show the interior.

Thanks for the photos :awe: It'd be awesome if you could upload high res pics to the wiki (or I can do it for you if you prefer). No hurry though

Thanks for the link to that video! The damage is just like described in the video with the corroded 4 player connector and the whole area eaten away. I'll try cleaning the damage and patching the traces tomorrow and if it doesn't work for me, I'll get one of Sheep_nova on Ebay...I've already bought things of this seller before and I know that he's quite reliable.

Told you that should do the trick. Great

Just give it a good clean with baking soda to prevent further corrosion.
