Sheep_nova is a great guy to buy from, I've had quite a few carts from Simon without any issues, even sourced my svg cart. He's based in China and on ebay http://www.ebay.ca/sch/sheep_nova/m.htm ... 7675.l2562

Looks like Yanton still has nos Beestorm kits
ttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-kit-CAVE-DoDonPa ... 1496644536

Wanted threads here are a good place to start.

Beestorm is awesome. Even if some naesayers decry it as 'non-cave' it's still great fun, and a good score challenge!

Been in my cab constantly for months !

 Couldn't agree more with my man, even though own "proper" cave pcbs I put this in my NAC only yesterday.

I'm the same, have Ibara and Espgaluda PCB's - but I love the clean ships and graphics of Beestorm!

Was a NOS bargain - unless all the other cave stuff ;)

Just got my 'botch' PGM cart of DDP DOJ - was nervous - especially as there are actual PCB's still around - one for sale here - which I would have rather had, obviously, but couldn't afford..

The game runs flawlessly on the PGM system! Mental. Am sort of very relieved, as I couldn't really find out a lot of info before I bought it - and chuffed to bits ! Still can't get my head around the fact it's a game which was meant to run on another system altogether !

I take it PGM motherboards are pretty similar to the native cave boards such as DDP DOJ ?

Seems to me like trying to get a megadrive game running in a SNES cart

Run on another system? Doj is built and runs on the PGM hardware originally. :)

OOh. My bad.

I thought it ran on a normal cave PCB ?

I was reading about it here :

http://www.world-of-arcades.net/Cave/Dd ... iOuJou.htm

So it's a genuine PGM release ?

And then I noticed this :

'It is the first game to run on the new single board PGM hardware. However the PCB is mounted inside a blue metal box with a fan.'

LOL I am a doofus. :awe:

Whilst I'm here - @Paulie - I've still got a cart you lent to test my motherboard - I wanna send it back to you. Can you PM me your address ?

Hey chaps,
Just wanted to say thanks for all the info on this thread.

Been looking into adding a pgm mobo to my set up recently and this has been invaluable.
Pretty gutted I missed outon those beestorm kits that sold on ebay a few months back.
But I'm hoping to get a single mobo from sheep nova.

Is anyone got any carts for sale? (beestorm hopefully haha) probably best to stick to the for sale section for them.

How much do the cave hack carts cost? Does the guy who made them plan on making more?

Cheers guys
Mark

This has been discussed so many times before in different places... Do you at least KNOW what you are buying???

PS- Hello to you too.

Yes I know what I am buying.
I am sorry to ask a question that has probably been asked a 100 times before.
Prices haven't been discussed in this particular thread regarding the carts apart from one person who paid 80quid, 2nd hand from another member.

I have read of a few prices of £150 in posts but these are from a year ago. As we all know in the collecting world, things can change dramatically in a year.
People who said they were on par with a genuine pcb. But since a pcb costs around £500nowadays due to arcade tower buying them all up.

I shall have a good look through other forums to see the discussions you mention.

Thanks for the reply tho

My point was about ethics, not prices. But please go ahead if you are positive about it.

I don't know much about prices, exept that an Espgaluda PCB (for example) goes for a little bit less than half 500£.
Sorry i can't help you much ;)

Thanks for the help.
Also interested in this, any meaningful differences between the kov games?

Knights of Valour
Knights of Valour plus
Knights of Valour superheroes

Are all the same game with different number of playable characters.

There are different special moves, and I think a few more paths to take in superheroes.

I have both KoV, and KoV SH but haven't delved too deeply into either yet to find all the differences
