Yes, also be sure to carry a volt meter before putting any pcb on this Cabs.
Might be some problem with the PSU and then the voltage on this babies.
I mean they didnt run for 10-15 years for sure, right?
Also congrats, nice get - but also a lot of work ahead of you.

Re: Girlfriend's Grandma's Game Center
its a start but they will need to be tested if working as well as price difference is huge for some games working or not, take note of everything spares posters flyers ,also try and test the machines and see what condition the monitors etc are in and make a list of whats there. selling to an exporter then might be a good option then pcbs can be listed on here or other forums and also on YAJ

Sweet! 42 Aeros?!! The Aeros and Astros are certainly sought after cabs, not sure about the namco consolettes, though they are cool.
I don't really know what to say, are you trying to re-open a mahjong arcade?
If you are looking to fill a container and ship overseas, you aren't going to be able to charge an awful lot for untested cabs, although there is probably someone crazy enough to import the bulk of them.

Re: Girlfriend's Grandma's Game Center
It's been pointed out previously that there's money to be made by just selling the PCBs and control panels, but did anyone mention the stools, marquees and cupholders yet? There's money everywhere in there.
Those metallic cabs in the second to last shot look intriguing.

They're all going to be tested, of course. This was just the first round.
Also, going to try to test out all the boards one by one to find which ones work and which ones don't.
Is there any kind of market for non-working boards?

Nice stuff, a lot of Mahjong (too much in my opinion ).
And also a lot of work to go through all of this stuff...wow, i hope you have a lot of free time for this project.

Re: Girlfriend's Grandma's Game Center
Id test and sell the games on , sell the SF panels and all the game paperwork and then just sell the rest off as a job lot for a decent price. Even if those Aeros were parted out it would be a help to the community , especially the bezels and monitors if there I good nick . Great find by the way

Looks like a lot of fun but I don't see anything of significant value I'm afraid. List the working stuff on Yahoo Japan Auctions but I think there'll be a fair bit of scrap unfortunately.

Just the adventure of researching the old game center is worthy (in case you like candy cabs )

All I can see is junk, all over the place.
So... I'll take one of those fugly Namco cabinets, just for the heck of it.

Sure is interesting how some people who are interested in buying machines keep telling me "It's just junk, but I'll take it off your hands, whatever"
