I like the EX games too. Never played EX3 though.

Other than testing a PCB I've only ever played the EX games on the PlayStation, but never EX3 as I'd had enough of 3D SF by then. My bro and I used to kind of like them and still sometimes say 'explossif' like Doctrine Dark :shifty:

I've always quite liked the attract mode on King of Fighters Neowave.

Or Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter ("Get ready for the enjoyment of a lifetime!")

To be fair, while Capcom have some good intros, SNK by and large kick their ****.

Either of these **** all over SF2;

This **** all over CVS/2

And these two are just some of the best intros ever.

It's not just about the intro. It's about the whole thing that loops. Some games have nice intros but you still don't get mesmerized by just letting it all loop over and over again. :)

Yeah exactly. Like Samurai Shodown. That intro's good, but the whole attract loop is crap. It doesn't show any gameplay, and in the tiny sparring segment that could almost be described as gameplay, nothing happens. I think it's supposed to be tense or something. Then it just loops again and again and again. What's there is kind of cool as an occasional QTE, but it gets boring and it just doesn't sell the game in my opinion.

Yep. The **** text in some of SNK's intros also makes me cringe.

I'd argue Spectre's assertion that the Samurai Shodown intro **** all over SF2. One expects something to happen, another sequence or a bit of in-game demo, but you get nothing. It just abruptly loops again. I do like the MOTW intro though, in spite of the **** text. :P

'certainly they existed...' Great intro :awe:

Samurai Shodown 2's intro's one of the worst for **** text.

'There were a man who try to make his skill ultimate' then something about his bloody life :wtf: :palm:

Meh, I actually like a nice bit of **** engrish. I mean "again legendary men return" is a bit of a mess of a statement, but it sounds good in an un-cool kind of way and evokes the spirit of a badly scripted kung fu movie :awe:

The repeated use of "...this story has not yet ended" etc in the last blade 2 intros is the only thing that takes the gloss off for me. The first time it's cool, but the same thing over and over again is retarded.

I'm partial to the Sexy Parodius attract mode's visuals, but the attract mode sounds get annoying on a loop.
