1944 poop master has a pretty exciting attract intro.

And you're definitely, objectively, right :awe:

I've already had my annual moan about Metal Slug's attract.
pubjoe wrote: September 29th, 2022, 10:19 pm As good as it is I can't agree with Metal Slug. Ten Wilhelm screams per minute on an endless cycle.
The quick intro animation is great. It's just the very short, very repetitive, very annoying gameplay loop that ruins it.

All Neo Geo games have a short attract loop, which I suppose is due to multislot compatibility. I love how some later games like Last Blade 2 have two alternating intros to mix it up.

Four or six of the best MVS carts in a multislot is attract paradise.

Agreed!

In my six slot, I have all six MS games, and none of their attract screens are brilliant.

In my four slot I’ll often populate it with games with cool attract modes just so I can watch them.

Garou is always cool, no matter how many times I’ve watched it.
Pulstar, while far from my favourite SHMUP on the Neo is a great attract mode
Neo Turf Masters (Big Tournament Golf as I have UniBios set to JPN on the Japanese cab) had a brilliant attract mode considering it’s a golf game.
Blazing Star is awesome to look at.
Both Last Blade games.

While not an ‘attract’ mode, as it’s console, Contra Hard Corps on the Mega Drive looks great when left running.

Looks great. Can't go wrong with Contra craziness.

Even though I've been a grown up for ages I still struggle to pronounce corps properly in my mind.

I own Pulstar for the same reason. The attract mode sold me. Simple and effective with weirdly nostalgic awesome music. Great addition to the MVS cycle. I used to run Groovymame with a virtual 6-slot and always included Pulstar. I quite like Magical Drop 3 in there too.

If you have a Mister there's a script that automatically switches games every 2 minutes. Not as clean as MVS but still very nice for Attract mode **** like me.

Best attract mode is the yellow MVS 161 in 1 and Razoolas Picknmix.

That's fantastic! Just watched videos of it in action. I knew Razoola had cleaned up the 161's games list and selection but I wasn't aware it could do that.

I have the 120 in 1. Shame it can't be done with that, I prefer the game selection. I may well add a 161 now though

Slightly off topic but I found it weird that neither of the 2 flash able carts went in the direction of having the whole library permantly stored and just select between games.

The 161 with Razoolas front end is like having a 90 slot MVS board, games alternate between attract modes and games start instantly with no flashing of games.

But as you said a few important ones are missing, I have all the games I like on original cart but sometimes it’s nice to put this in a cab and have instant access to most games in the library.
