Super Street Fighter 2
Justice Gakuen : Legion of Heroes
Vampire : The Night Warriors
The SSF2 attract mode is just out of contest. I remember been there as a preteen, standing in front of a Capcom Big Blue, watching it over and over - and over. There's something really magical about it.

Me too (well, as an early teen). I used to practically live in the arcade. Mind you I didn't actually play SF2 much by then, but I'd always hear that spark of electricity and look round to gaze back at Ryu.

My vote, of course, goes to SSF2 as well.
I didn't really go to any arcades as a kid except on trips or special occasions, but I had SSF2 for the Mega Drive and I remember leaving it running and just marveling at the intro sequence and checking out the character profiles.
Often when I don't feel like properly sitting down and playing games I casually play a 'single credit' on my supergun or some arcade style console game just so that I can then leave the attract running. I can only do this when I'm home alone because my gf is not fond of this habit. (= tiny apartment)
I own Battle Arena Toshinden just because I like to leave it running.

I also remember when center four amusements in Leeds got SSF2 in I was just completely mesmerized by the attract mode, they also had X-men COTA running on a Sega megalo which always looked awesome!
When I get the Q-Grandam 25 sorted this year I'm going to have to go with SSF2 when finished

I forgot how good that attract sequence actually was. I may have to add that to my list...and get the B board soon as well
It's nothing special but my fav and most memorable attract mode that I used to watch all the time when I ran out of 10p's was the original 87' Shinobi. This is the first game I started to learn when I ventured into the local town centre after school when I was 10years old to spend my paper round on arcades. I'd played arcade games for a few years earlier whenever I went on holiday but this was when I went full time My mother still doesn't know I went into the town centre after primary school to a dodgy videoshop arcade. If she ever found out I think I'd still be grounded now. ;/ It's still my #1 fav arcade game of all time.
SSF2, definitely! One of the most impressive intros I recall seeing, especially as a kid It just blew your **** off without warning.
Also, a personal favorite of mine would be Ninja Master's. For some reason, I could watch that over and over, it just reeks of ninja epicness.
Oh and Sunsetriders, nuff said
I actually really love the Blazing Star attract mode, mostly because of the great jingle at the beginning. Really catchy stuff.
Additionally I think it deserves a spot on the list because they did some kickass 3D-renderings and made it seem (at least back then
I had that feeling) that the NeoGeo could truely display 3D content, which of course it could not.
