Knights of Valour PGM question

Post by jlz »

Can anyone tell me explain the difference between the Knights of Valour games on the PGM? What is the difference between:

Knights of Valour
Knights of Valour Plus
Knights of Valour Superheroes
Knights of Valour Superheroes Plus

Is it just a different number of characters?

I spent ages typing out a really comprehensive answer broke off to eat dinner and ended up losing it before posting. Arraghhhhhh!!!!!! :problem:

I'm too cross to type it all out again at teh moment.

There's a little info on this on an old French site http://pgm.database.perso.sfr.fr/index.htm"

So, from the translated site:

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... eUKmEeGmcg"

It looks like Knights of Valour has 3 secret characters, and in Knights of Valour plus you can select them without the code. And then in Knights of Valour Superheroes there is one extra character. Does that sound about right?

Yes the obvious/major differences are the amount of characters that are selectable from the off

KOV - 5
KOV Plus - 10
KNO SH - 12
KOV SH Plus - 20

There are many other differences between those four KOV games (most are small) but there is a lot to discover :)

I just got a cart that I think is Knights of Valour Plus, and it has 11 selectable characters.

Title screen looks like this:

I could be wrong but I'm sure I had read that someone had emailed IGS and these along with KB+ were confirmed to be legitimate releases.

In 2012 I mailed IGS and I received an email sating that KB+ is an official release
I don't know if I still have the original email but this is what I wrote along with the reply by IGS:

Dear Sir, Madam,

Sorry to bother you, but I have a small question concerning an older game that I obtained recently. I was wondering if The Killing Blade Plus is an official game released by IGS or if it's a bootleg or hack, I can't find any information about this version of The Killing Blade anywhere.

I hope you can answer my question and I hope to hear from you soon.

With kind regards,

Matthijs

Hi Sir

Thanks for the enquiry, regard to your question, the reply is as below:

Yes, it our officially released products.

Best Regards

IGS

I've just ordered Knights of Valour 2 Nine Dragons

Is there a great deal of difference between this and the original Knights of Valour 2?

More selectable characters and more in game different paths to choose. It s quite a big difference.

I can't seem to get the code to work to unlock the extra characters in kov2 9d. I know the code is different depending on what region the cart is, but none of the codes I've found seem to work.

Anyone else have this problem?

Hi

There are no hidden characters in KOV 9d

The codes are for KOV 2 for playing with hidden characters ( directly playable in kOV 9d )
